Once I’ve gone through the other 5 steps mention in my keyword research post my 6th step is easy and doesn’t take that long. It’s probably easier if I show you an example.
Let’s say I have decided to use the term “keyword research”. I enter it into Google and see if there are any ads coming up on the page like this:
Now that tells me that these organisations consider the term “keyword research” worth spending money on Google ads and it might be worth competing in with my blog post. Throughout this process it is a case of continually reassessing the situation and then just getting on with it and deciding.
